I met a Ballarat-based painter Jessica Andersen through the newly formed local artists group SHAC – Soldiers Hill Arts Collective. The group was formed quite accidentally after Lynne & Ken Makings, residents of Soldiers Hill, while walking the dogs around the neighbourhood realised how many artists actually resided within the Ballarat’s oldest suburb Soldiers Hill. Jessica took part in our last exhibition and I was blown away by her artistic talents but also her humorous take on the Australian culture in her bold paintings.

Here’s the Behind the scenes video interview from our first shoot recorded by Fairfax Media Journalist Caleb Cluff (mind the poor audio due to very windy conditions)
